SEYMOUR trainer Stephen Brown will chase listed contests for Lady Jones after the filly’s impressive win at The Valley on Friday night.
Sent out a $2.10 favourite on the strength of a good second to the smart Riverplate at Sandown Lakeside at her previous start, the three-year-old daughter of Toronado and Lady Slevoir was a comprehensive winner of the $60,000 Angela 10 Years at Cirka Maiden Plate over 1600 metres at Moonee Valley.

The filly, ridden by the in-form Harry Coffey, defeated Sweet Bella, at $26 odds, by two and three quarter lengths with Bob The Horse, $9, a further half-length away third.
“It was a nice win,” Brown said.
“She is a half-sister to this year’s Darwin Cup Carnival winner Lady Whistledown.”
Lady Jones, bred by Brown and his wife Elisha along with the stable’s biggest clients, Perth-based Peter and Robyn Jones, had two minor placings prior to Friday night’s win.
Double to Hope
Former Seymour apprentice Tahlia Hope rode the last two winners at Apiam Bendigo on Sunday.

Hope was aboard $2.90 favourite Rajnish for Flemington trainer Nick Ryan and rode Electric Belle, $8.50, to victory in the last of eight for Cranbourne horseman Alex Rae.
Hope is regularly seen at Seymour riding trackwork for her father Shannon and ‘pa’ Lee Hope.
