THE Kilmore women’s team beat Hurstbridge in a dominant Friday night clash at JJ Clancy Reserve.

The Blues kicked the first three goals of the game keeping their opposition scoreless in the first quarter.

Similarly in the second term, Hurstbridge remained goalless scoring two minors in another bad quarter.

Kilmore couldn’t quite convert its dominance into scores, only kicking one goal to take a 24-point lead at the major break.

The third quarter showed a bit more fight out of the visitors as they kicked the only goal of the term.

Leaving the game in a potential late upset, being only three goals the difference at the final break, but it was the Blues who came out to kick 3.5 in the last quarter to one goal which secured a 38-point win.

Chiara Nardo and Brielle Kinnear both bagged two goals and joined Alexis Knight and Jade Ventura in their better players for the night.

The Blues sit fourth in the division two competition but still need to play a game which could catch them up to equal third.

They face Panton Hill next week on Sunday at 3pm at JJ Clancy Reserve.

Over in Wallan, the Magpies faced Epping who completed dominated that game.

Wallan was held to 1.1 as the away team kicked 6.6 to finish the game with a 35 point margin.

Kelly Lennox was named best on ground for Wallan, and Charlie Rice kicked their only goal for the day leaving them at eighth position on the ladder with only one win from six games.

They face Macleod next week who sit third on the ladder.
