LANCEFIELD continue to be a strong force in the senior womens competition, defeating Riddells Creek last Friday night at home.

The Tigers opened the game with the first goal of the game, leaving Riddell scoreless coming into the first break.

Riddell then gained some momentum, but was unable to put scores on the board keeping the Tigers scoreless while only kicking one behind leaving the score at 7-1 at half time.

Lancefield then came out to kick two majors, gapping the Bombers by 19 points coming into the final quarter.

In the last, Lancefield again kicked two goals, leaving Riddell scoreless, finishing the game at 33-2 in a nice warm-up game for finals in two weeks.

Taleeya Robotham, Alice Bromley, Esme Keen, Sassafras Gallus, Bethany Lyons, Caitlyn Ager were named the best players for Lancefield, and Meaghan Lyons kicked two goals.

Lancefield look forward to meeting the Macedon Cats one last time next week, the Cats have already locked in a Grand Final spot finishing top of the ladder.

The Tigers look all but certain to meet Riddell in the semi final where they will be hot favourites to dominate again like last Friday night, and meet the Cats in a bid for the premiership.
