KILMORE’S first ever senior women’s game was worth the wait—the Blues demolishing Montmorency by 120 points at J.J Clancy Reserve to mark the occasion in style.
In the first two minutes Kilmore had two goals, and another three before the siren sounded, thanks to Alexis Knight’s effort in the ruck.
Monty’s defence in the second quarter stepped up and Kilmore scored 4 behinds, but it looked all over, when Kilmore kicked five goals in a row in under 10 minutes.
The team shared the ball wisely and celebrated every win. Their shepherding showed just how quickly the team has bonded and are enjoying their footy, and brilliant marks from the tall players and speedy ball carrying from on ballers, created six more goals for Kilmore.

Captains Ella and Jenaya Stewart were thrilled with the win.
“It was incredible. “All the pre-game nerves, as soon as you step on that field and ball goes up, it just goes away, they said.
“To see us finally out there after all of our hard work, pre-season, training, the big nights. There’s still obviously a lot we can improve on but just the start of it’s been incredible.

“The club has really looked after us. And Alice and Leigh Irons have been there for early morning and late-night calls, and especially dad, coaching us, he’s done the work there as well.”
Emma Pyle led the way with four goals for the Blues, while Chiara Nardo, Chloe Talbot, Tahlia Byle and Brielle Kinnear kicked three goals apiece.
Best were J. Stewart, Nardo, E. Pyle, Knight, Jessica Vilinskis and Chloe D’Elia.
