Mitchell Shire Council has announced the newly completed Pyalong bus shelter is ready for use, with better infrastructure and user protection from natural occurrences such as rain, wind, and heat.
The purpose of the shelter makeover was to improve the comfort and safety of local community members, the majority of which are children and students.
The stop is deliberately located in High Street, which runs adjacent to the Pyalong Town Centre Park, to best accommodate the community’s needs of transportation, including bus routes that transport students to Broadford Secondary College, St Patrick’s Primary School, and Seymour College.

Council fully funded the $35,000 project.
Mitchell Shire Mayor Councillor Louise Bannister gave credit to the local community for their consultation and communal input.
“The council worked closely with the local community and Public Transport Victoria on this project to ensure the best outcomes for Pyalong residents,” she said.
“By centralising the bus stops, we have significantly improved safety and convenience for our children and families.”
$35 thousand for that, what is it gold plated
