KILMORE resident Chanel Jowett recently had a terrific experience, winning a silver medal as part of the under 12 girls Victorian state Australian football team.
The national championships were held in Canberra last week, with Jowett selected along with 20 other girls in the state.
There were three stages towards selection, with over 200 girls competing.

The Victorian team were undefeated until the last game, where they were beaten by South Australia, who ultimately took the title with a 19-9 win.
Jowett returned to Kilmore this week with the junior finals starting to get underway in the Northern Football Netball League.
