IT HAS been a huge set of weeks at Broadford Golf Club across the last three Saturday’s as they’ve held their club championships.

Saturday was close to the perfect day for golf, and although the course was slightly soggy due to massive amounts of rain during the week, players were still as competitive as ever.

The best player at the Broadford Golf Club goes to Phil Morrow, who across the last three rounds shot 81, 78 and 79.

Three very steady and consistent rounds for the four handicapper, and he was pushed all the way by James McQuillan who took out the A grade nett championship, playing off 10.

The best ladies player was Sharna Faralla for her 90, 95 and 86 across the last three rounds, playing off 12, she was dominant in the field.

Amanda Rees played the best to her handicap though, winning the Ladies Nett championship by five strokes.

The B Grade champion was Jeffery Ranger, who has had a very consistent last couple of months, also taking out the Nett B Grade award.

The C Grade Champion was Paul Howe who put the foot down when it mattered most, to take out the title – Rhys White, won the Nett, after a really dominant Round 2 and 3.

Congratulations from the Review, keep an eye on next weeks ‘Covering the fairways’ where one of these players will feature as ‘Golfer of the Week.’
