FAMILIES with cost-of-living pressures are getting a helping hand with grants to help get their kids into sport.

A new round of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program means there is more oppurtunity to recieve a $200 voucher to cover registration fees, memberships, uniforms and equipment.

Eligible families can apply for vouchers of up to $200 per child across more than 70 sport
and recreation activities, from Australian Rules to water polo.

More than half of families that received vouchers in Round 10 said their kids would not have
been able to participate without these vouchers.

A special consideration stream is also available to support children in care, temporary or
provisional visa holders, migrants and international students.

Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas said that sport plays a crucial role within the Macedon community.

“Sport is at the heart of our Macedon community – it connects us as individuals and brings
us together as communities.” she said.

Applications for the current round close October 13, or until the voucher allocation is
exhausted.
