THE Mitchell Rangers had a huge achievement on Sunday, with the under 12 team becoming state champions courtesy of a 2-0 win over Truganina Lions.
The team took out the under 12D competition, with the club saying it was proud of the team’s achievements on social media.
“What an incredible achievement from the boys, coaches, managers and parents after an amazing season. The hard work, determination and team spirit have truly paid off,” they wrote.

There was also a big achievement for Will Mulvey on the weekend, presented with the State League 7 north-west Golden Boot.
Mulvey scored 23 goals throughout the season to claim the award.
