Fast and furious bowling from Nicholas Davies put the Kilmore team on the defensive, and Proctor was quickly dismissed in the third over much to the delight of several vocal fielders. Brother Toby Ciaca then joined Adam on the crease for four overs before a field catch caught him out.

A. Ciaca batted on and made 30 big runs for his side, including two 4s. Callum Peggie was also a standout batter for Kilmore, who stepped onto the crease following Joel McNicholas’ golden dismissal.

Unfortunately, A. Ciaca’s innings ended during over 19, but not before Timothy Peggie joined him on the pitch.

Peggie went on to make 11 runs before he was caught out after a sharp bowl from Sunbury’s captain Adam Kirk, which signalled the end of Kilmore’s innings.

Sunbury started their innings chasing 76 runs, with Justin Allen and Davies nominated as opening batters. Kilmore selected A. Ciaca to deliver the opening bowls with Noah Fairweather at the other end.

The Jensen Shields Thirds’ teams will batter up again for round 11 on Saturday, February 1.
