Grants are now open for Men’s Sheds across Victoria to improve their skills and contribute to their communities.
Grants of up to $100,000 under the 2024-25 Men’s Shed Funding Program are available to build new sheds – which includes converting a building into a Men’s Shed – and refurbish, extend, or upgrade existing Men’s Sheds.
Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes is encouraging applications.
“Men’s Sheds provide a place to learn new skills, contribute to the community, and improve participants’ mental health and wellbeing,” she said.
“These grants help to establish new Men’s Sheds, complete repairs, and make improvements that ensure they are safe, remain fit for purpose, and are accessible to all members.”
With more than 350 Men’s Sheds across Victoria, including the Kilmore District Men’s Shed, the sheds provide an important place for men to connect, socialise, learn new skills, and work on projects that give back to their communities.
Applications for the 2024-25 Men’s Shed Funding Program are open until October 16, 2024.
