Broadford Secondary College (BSC) are thrilled to be partnering with the Mitchell Rangers Soccer Club (MRSC) to teach students about the benefits of playing competitive soccer.
Since Term 1, around 30 students have been preparing for competitive soccer by improving their fitness levels and learning new skills. During the last three weeks of Term 2, the students stepped up their training regime. The partnership program also enhanced social skills and concluded with a highly anticipated match to determine the top team.
The head-to-head match was played late last month, and it was well attended by students, staff, and families. All the students demonstrated their newly acquired skills and knowledge of the game and determined just who was the top team, with the green Year 9s declared the winners.
The mentors are excited about a new soccer program starting Term 3 for Year 7 students, and Wellbeing Coordinator at BSC Aaron Tilley would like to thank the MRSC, stating he is excited to see what the future holds. To learn more about the MRSC, please visit www.mitchellrangers.org.au.
