MULTIPLE sporting clubs have been given grants to help fund uniforms, equipment, engagement and more.

Multiple grants between $1000-$5000 have been given to community sports clubs thanks to the state governments Sporting Club Grants Program.

The clubs to receive the grants were Broadford Cricket Club, Kilmore Junior Football Club, Seymour Golf Club, Pyalong Netball Club, Pyalong Swim Club, Riding for the Disabled (Seymour) and St Marys Junior Football Netball Club.

The program is set to help the clubs gain better exposure and help fund volunteer officials, whilst also providing a good enough amount of money to help grow the governance and attraction to people within the community.

“The Sporting Club Grants Program is giving grassroots sports clubs in Northern Victoria the support they need to grow their ranks and help more people play the sports they love.” State member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.

Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence explained that it would make a difference for clubs within the community.

“The Sporting Club Grants Program opens up a range of opportunities on and off the field, ensuring clubs have the skills they need to secure their future.”

“We’re backing more clubs, supporting their volunteers and getting behind local sports that are an integral part of local communities.”
