Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a driver following a fatal collision in Epping last week.
Emergency services were called to reports a car had collided with a parked truck on Jersey Drive about 2.05pm on Friday, April11.
The passenger of the car, a 49-year-old Viewbank man, died at the scene.
The driver, a 41-year-old Wallan man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but has since been discharged.
The truck driver was uninjured. Detectives have today charged the driver of the car with dangerous driving causing death.
He has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on April 17.
