PLENTY Road in Yan Yean will be subjected to more works over the next two weeks as investment from the state government’s road rehabilitation works takes hold to improve road safety.
Residents travelling from Laurimar and Mernda, as well as southbound from Whittlesea, will need to make plans to detour around construction works across the next two weekends, with work being completed between the Barbers Creek bridge and Arthurs Creek Road.
Detours will be put in place between Arthurs Creek Road, Yan Yean Road and exits on Hazel Glen Drive and Bridge Inn Road, where drivers can return to Plenty Road.
Heavier vehicles will be required to detour using Donnybrook Road, Epping Road and Bridge Inn Road.
The road will be shut from 8pm on June 13 to 5am on June 16, and will be closed again from 8pm on June 20 to 5am on June 23.
It is expected that drivers will require 25 minutes of extra travel time.
Traffic controllers will be available to help eligible residents and property owners to access the road while works are completed.
