Inland Rail Project Director, Scott Anderson has asked for residents in Broadford to exercise patience as the project to raise bridges for freight trains along the Beveridge to Albury Line steps up.
Three bridges will be raised across Broadford and the latest traffic changes are that Hamilton Street is now a single lane carriageway, with shuttle flow crossing arrangements in place.
“We understand there are going to be disruptions,” Mr Anderson said.
“Please treat all our workers with respect, it’s important that they have a safe workplace.”
Traffic arrangements will change over time; traffic disruptions are expected to dissipate early in 2027.
Residents are urged to contact the Inland Rail community engagement team on 1800 732 761 or email inlandrailvic@inlandrail.com.au 24 hours a day, seven days a week if they need to talk to a community stake holder representative.
