This year’s Whittlesea Show was a hit, with hundreds of attendees travelling from near and far to attend the much-loved event.
Held over two days at the Whittlesea Showgrounds at the weekend, this year’s event celebrated both its cherished traditions and innovative new attractions.
Showcasing the charm of rural Victoria, the animal nursery emerged as a beloved attraction, drawing visitors of all ages with its array of adorable animals.
Thrilling carnival rides spun with joy, offering exhilarating adventures for the young and young at heart. Meanwhile, engaging roving entertainers brought an element of surprise and wonder, captivating onlookers with their lively performances and interactive antics.
On the competition front, Romsey’s Blake Meyer, a familiar face at the Whittlesea Show, made a return, making the best out of the woodchopping competition on Sunday.
Meyer secured first prize at the Whittlesea Woodchopping Underhand Championship, showcasing exceptional skill and determination.
Throughout the weekend, the excitement continued with a variety of competitions, including the showjumping championships, where talented riders and their horses dazzled the crowd and judges with their performances.
The entertainment stage was also busy as local talent took centre stage, including Mitchell Shire’s singer-songwriter Tilly Rose with Whittlesea-based musician Paul Ray.
Once again, the spectacular Grand Parade drew large crowds, captivating attendees with its vibrant display of local talent and community pride.
