THE Zonta Club of Mitchell has been busy ramping up its volunteer work at a busy time of year.
The club recently received a grant from Southern Cross Gold, which was used to assemble 50 children’s activity bags.
Zonta have also launched the 2026 $1000 study grant, which is available for application for any year 10 girl who attends schools across the Mitchell Shire.
Ten comfort blankets have been donated to the Orange Door in Wallan, and the club is about to assemble an annual round of dignity bags for the use of services across the Mitchell Shire.
The club is also making preparations for the annual Christmas Craft Market. This year, it will be held on Saturday, December 5 at the Gavan Hall in Broadford. It serves as the annual fundraiser for all of Zonta’s key projects.
The club is ready to mark 10 years of service across the Mitchell Shire.
