THE Elms Retirement Village community, together with the support of family and friends, gathered for the Annual Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser on a beautiful winter’s day in June.
Cancer has touched the lives of many within The Elms’ families and friendship circles, reminding them of the challenges faced by those affected and their loved ones. It also highlights the importance of community – coming together to offer support, compassion, and encouragement. Events such as these provide an opportunity to connect, raise awareness and demonstrate the strength that comes from standing together.
Event co-ordinators Marlene Gooding and Michael Dunn led the volunteer team to the successful outcome of raising $6000 for Cancer Council Victoria.
A large amount of local businesses donated goods and vouchers for the afternoon, chipping in to ensure the morning tea was a success.
