AN event all about excitement and entertainment will draw a crowd, as Assumption College
will host a carnival extravaganza as part of their fundraising for a new sporting pavilion.
Some of the biggest and most thrilling rides outside of Melbourne will pop up for a limited time only – Kilmore’s very own weekend-long theme park.
The carnival experience, RURBAN, will provide an experience to reflect the rural and
urban country roots of the community as its proximity to the city expands and grows.
Entry to RURBAN is free and discounted ride tickets are available for purchase on line now. EFTPOS and cash payments will also be available on site for rides and amusements, cash only for food – no ATM facilities will be available at the college.
Thrilling rides aren’t for everyone, but there will also be plenty of family-friendly rides, amusements, food, live music, fireworks, roving circus artist and more.
All proceeds from RURBAN will help deliver a state-of the-art Community and Sports Pavilion at Assumption College.
The pavilion, once completed, will benefit more than just the school – community use of the facility is a big feature of the project, which includes a 200-seat function centre.
The first day of RURBAN will begin at 4pm on Friday November 1, and the final day will
conclude on Sunday November 3, at 4pm.
Thanks to Seymour Coaches, a courtesy bus will meet VLine trains throughout the day on
both the Saturday and Sunday to get patrons to and from RURBAN.
Car parking is available on site at the college.
As a bonus, buy a ticket for a chance to win a Kia Sportage valued at $30,990, drive away,
donated by Kia Motors Australia. Tickets can be purchased on line at: www.rafflelink.com.au/building-greatness.
Only 5000 tickets are being sold in this raffle with the winner drawn on Sunday November 3 at 3pm at RURBAN.
