MITCHELL Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested a man following a suspicious fire at an abandoned building on Sydney Street on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to reports of the blaze at about 7.40pm on Saturday night, with reports that a fire was started by someone seemingly seeking shelter inside the building.
No one was injured, but a 26-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested, interviewed by detectives and is expected to be charged on summons.
