SEYMOUR District Darts Association teams played round three on Monday February 23, it was the calm before the storm as all home games defeated visiting teams.
In division one, BadAss defeated the Golf Club Aces 11-0 at Broadford Golf Club. A highlight was BadAss captain Anthony Wallis’ high score of 145 and team mate Poita Myles was closest to the 100+ finishes target with 108.
The Phil Ins played the Tigers at the Prince of Wales and defeated them in their first game together, 10-1.
Zane Kilroy got it done for the Phil Ins with the only 180 for the round and in the 100+ finishes, teammate Jason McMasters nailed a 101 checkout.
At the Prince of Wales in Seymour, the Kings defeated the Taipans by nine legs, 10-1. Association President Rob Welsh scored the highest check out for the Kings, 116.
The ladder has not changed for the top four division one teams with BadAss, Phil Ins, Kings and Gold Club Aces in the top four.
While, in the bottom two the Tigers and the Taipans switched places to finish at the bottom of the ladder respectively.
In division two, the Bushrangers narrowly defeated Easy Beats at Dave’s Cave, 6-5 and the Dart Vader’s defeated The Royal Rascals at the Broadford Golf Club, game 6-5.
Steve Kilroy helped the Vader’s finish in front with the highest check out, 94, while team mates Daniel Kilroy and Aaron Peacock each achieved a high score of 140 each.
The Bushrangers have once again defended their first ladder post, while The Royal Rascals advanced into second. Dart Diva’s are third and Dart Vader’s are fourth, they did not play due to their bye.
The Easy Beatz have a bye for round four, and there will be no darts on the upcoming Labour Day public holiday on March 9. Darts resumes on March 16.
