KILMORE just narrowly missed a place in the Bowls Premier League Cup state finals, but did the region proud with two victories from three games, knocking over some established clubs along the way at Caulfield Park Sports Club.
The team of Daniel Carroll, Lance Whitnall and Daniel Noonan competed in section three of the competition, paired with Fitzroy Victoria, Berwick and Mitcham.
The first game saw the team take on Fitzroy Victoria, and landed an impressive 8-6 6-4 victory in two sets.
In the second game, Kilmore continued its impressive run, coming away with a 5-4 5-3 win against Berwick.
The final game decided who would take a spot in the semi finals, with Kilmore and Mitcham both undefeated.
Kilmore took the first set 5-4, but Mitcham hit back to take the second set 7-3 and take the game into a decider.
It was here where Mitcham was able to win the sudden death leg to progress to the finals.
