CONSTRUCTION is in full swing on the $3.97 million expansion of the Greater Beveridge Community Centre, with the Victorian Government’s investment set to deliver a major win for local families.
The upgrade will add two new kindergarten rooms, expand the outdoor play space, and spruce up the surrounds with fresh landscaping — all geared towards supporting the roll-out of funded three-year-old kinder in Beveridge.
Inside, the project has already seen new floor coverings, cabinetry and fixtures installed. Next on the list: a car park realignment, playground expansion, and the final landscaping touches.
Once complete by December 2025, the centre will offer more kindergarten places, giving local children two years of high-quality early education close to home.
In addition to the new kindergarten rooms, the project will also include landscaping works to ensure the facility remains accessible and welcoming to all.
The next stage will focus on realignment of the car park, expansion of the outdoor play space and completion of external landscaping.
