LOCAL trainers Lee and Shannon Hope have enjoyed recent success with horses racing fresh up from breaks including Royal Lass who scored at Geelong on the 25th after having a break following her unplaced run at Bendigo in March.
The mare won a jumpout and a trial before running second at Bendigo on July 13. The four year old is by local stallion Royal Meeting, whose progeny are showing above average ability.
Seymour based trainer Linc Sullivan scored at Swan Hill in the wet on the 29th with the family-owned mare Bridgeitall when the five year year old took her record to a win from just two starts; having had her first start at the Seymour meeting on April 27.
Following a break she won a jumpout at Kerang mid-July before making the trip to Swan Hill where she broke her maiden.
The Dam of Miss Swagger; Brigeitall was purchased as a weanling and she was trained by Linc Sullivan’s father Peter. She showed talent, having two wins and two seconds from eight starts before going amiss.
A chestnut, like her dam, her name came about through Linc’s friend’s wife also being a redhead, her name being Bridget Hall.
