MEMBER for Nicholls Sam Birrell is inviting organisations to submit expressions of interest for round nine of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Funding Program.

Grants between $2500 to $20,000 are available and can be used to deliver infrastructure projects that provide social benefits to local communities.

Eligible groups for the latest round of funding include local government bodies, incorporated not-for-profit organisations, and incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust with responsibility for a community asset or property.

Additionally, Commonwealth, State, or Territory Government agencies or entities are eligible, including fire services, rural fire services, country fire authorities, state emergency services, and similar organisations.

The maximum cost of a project cannot exceed $50,000 and projects must be completed before December 31, 2025.

Interested organisations in Nicholls must email an Expression of Interest form before 5pm on February 14, 2025 to sam.birrell.mp@aph.gov.au.

Expression of Interest forms will be assessed by an independent community panel, with successful applicants notified and formally invited to apply.
