Four local schools will share in over $21 million of funding for maintenance works.

Confirmed by the State Government last week, the November 2024 announcement of the 2023–24 Planned Maintenance Program (PMP) saw 78 schools from across the state share in the latest round of funding.

Of the 78, Kilmore Primary School ($137,224.78), Romsey Primary School ($43,538.19), Wallan Secondary College ($88,159.74), and Wandong Primary School ($26,646.64) were listed as recipients.

The ninth funding announcement of the year for the PMP, this round aims to address high-priority maintenance issues by fixing roofs, replacing windows, resurfacing floors, and improving pathways.

Minister for Education Ben Carroll noted that addressing these key maintenance issues would ensure all students had access to high-quality learning spaces alongside high-quality education.

“From a fresh coat of paint in classrooms to ensuring crucial emergency shelters are in good condition, this latest maintenance blitz will ensure all Victorian students have safe and modern learning spaces,” he said.

“We are making sure every single classroom is safe, engaging, and will complement the top-class education we are committed to providing.”
