The next round of the Community Insights study recently launched, helping the City of Whittlesea grasp a better understanding of residents’ experiences and provide support for future planning.
The study consists of three surveys per year, exploring various aspects of community life such as wellbeing, liveability, and resilience.
After positive response rates from previous rounds of the study, City of Whittlesea launched its second round of questions to randomly selected residents on July 29.
The focus topic of the round is Health and Wellbeing, which will ask about place and belonging, healthy lifestyles and behaviours, quality of life, disaster preparedness, and personal support.
It also includes a section about how residents communicate and engage with the City of Whittlesea.
City of Whittlesea Chief Executive Craig Lloyd said the data collected would help Council measure community sentiment on crucial factors that affect people’s daily lives.
“The Community Insights study will complement our existing research and data analysis, and will help us to build a comprehensive representation of our community,” he said.
“In particular, we would like to gain a deeper understanding of where resources are most needed for our communities, by collecting data to identify where Council needs to focus to achieve our community’s vision of ‘A place for all’.”
The study is voluntary, and residents may be invited to complete a survey via mail or email.
All information gathered will be de-identified and combined to produce statistical data for the municipality.
