RESIDENTS called the Review last week to discuss the current state of Wandong Road between the town and the newly built roundabout.
Taking this into further investigation, the Review went to see how bad the conditions were.
In a 6.5km stretch of road, we counted over 10 potholes yet to be filled alongside others that had been previously filled and some that had opened back up.
The road did have a sign, warning drivers of the next 2km of dangerous road conditions, but it seemed to have frustrated the local more saying “we’d prefer them fix the road instead of put a sign.”
One resident claimed they had come across six different vehicles on the side of the road just a fortnight ago, which he claimed set some drivers back $1500 for repairs.
If you’re driving this road in the near future, and largely most roads, keep an eye out for the potholes!
