KILMORE performer Tilly Rose Bosworth rocked the crowds at the 54th Tamworth Country Music Festival and also collected her first Independent Australian Country Music Award and Showcase plaque in January.

Along with her roadie mum Jo Bosworth, across 10 days Tilly elevated the platform of awareness around her growing capacity as a singer and a songwriter strumming her way to top the charts.

Tilly was the opening act on the popular Toyota FanZone stage and she seized the moment to announce the exciting Spotify release of her latest single, A Little Less.

Tilly has already written and produced four other singles since 2023 and the songs are pertinent to growing up.

“I’m 14 now,” she said.

“My goals this year are to get an EP out, [a mini version of an album] and to play every song in my set on my guitar. I have picked up the guitar a lot more now … It’s coming to every gig which is a lot of fun.”

Tilly attends Assumption College in Kilmore and she competes in Kilmore’s branch of the Australian National Busking Championships which has been held annually in April since 2019. A platform similar to the Toyota FanZone stage, it also gives fans the chance to attend a free local gig.

Tilly Rose [stage name] said: “It was a big shock to win it [the award]. I am honoured.”
