The Broadford Golf Club celebrated it’s 25th version of the
David Henderson Memorial Day and it all came down to a thriller.
The event celebrates a former member who has a lasting impact at Broadford Golf Club being a club champion, former club captain and the Strathbogie Golf Treasurer for a number of years.
The two-person Ambrose competition included 39 pairings across the day, fighting the cold, wet and windy weather.
But the conditions didn’t stop them from playing some good golf out there, with the winning pair having a nett 63.5.
Chris Jones (3 h/c) and Jase Crook
(19 h/c) took the trophy home, having five birdies and an eagle on the day.
On their tail was Kalon Winnell
(5 h/c) and Blake Winnell (49 h/c) who also finished with a nett 63.5 but lost on a countback.
Their last couple of holes cost them the win, having +5 between holes 15-17 after being on +2 all day.
