RDFNL grand finalists Wallan held its night on Saturday, where Steven Boyall won the club’s best and fairest award.
Boyall played 18 games across the year, averaging 29 disposals and eight clearances per game.
Dion Hill claimed second position and Ben Dessent finished in third spot.
Jett Kennedy and Damian Korp won the club’s reserves best and fairest award, Toni Gussenhoven won the women’s best player award, Genevieve Carboon took out the A-grade netball B&F and Olivia Colbert won the club’s only best and fairest with a premiership, for the under-19.5s netball.
Romsey held their night of nights on Friday night, which looked like a two-horse race from the beginning.
Jack Jedwab won the best and fairest over close competitor Corey Pertzel.
Jedwab was Romsey’s best player this year, kicking 72 goals for the club while also averaging 14 disposals.
Abbie Conway took out the A-grade netball best player award and Charli Taylor won the same in the B-grade, but had a premiership medal to show as well.
Former North Melbourne and Western Bulldogs player Nathan Hrovat won Riddell’s best and fairest after an incredible season in the league.
“Rat” averaged 38 disposals and close to a goal per game, pushing his case for a shot at the league best and fairest happening this Thursday.
