THE Mitchell Rangers women’s team suffered another defeat on the weekend, this time against the Bendigo City FC.

Bendigo City are one of the better sides in the State League 4 womens competition, sitting second on the table with seven wins and one loss compared to the Rangers who sit eighth.

It was a reasonably tight tussle thanks to solid Rangers defending in the first 30 minutes of the game, until Isabella Bowles for Bendigo City made the first breakthrough scoring in the 32’ minute.

She shortly followed that goal up with a brace in the 41’ minute to take it to 2-0 at half time in favour of Bendigo.

The second half saw Bendigo extend their dominance with Maeve Brown scoring a double and Marley Reid joining in on the fun, to defeat the Rangers 5-0.
