MOTORISTS travelling on Yan Yean Road will be affected for the next month, with road closures taking place from last Sunday onwards.
The road closures will go on from last Sunday until Friday, July 10 from 9pm to 5am, with Yan Yean Road closed in both directions between Kurrak Road and Bridge Inn Road. Detours will be in place via Kurrak Road, Plenty Road and Bridge Inn Road.
Works will continue non-stop from Sundays to Thursdays from 7pm to 6am nightly, and works will also be completed on Fridays and Saturdays if needed.
The works will improve the current condition of the road for construction traffic and also allows safety barriers to be installed.
During the period, there will be short traffic holds from 7pm to 9pm each night and 5am to 6am each morning on sections of Yan Yean Road.
Doctors Gully Road has also been reduced to one lane near the Yan Yean Road roundabout, with traffic management taking place from 9.30am yesterday until 3pm on Tuesday, June 30.
The Doreen Business Precinct can still be accessed via Yellow Brick Road.
