WORKS are ready to begin at JJ Clancy Reserve in Kilmore, with the Mitchell Shire Council at the procurement stage of works ahead of an April completion just in time for footy season.
Council is advocating for residents and users to be patient as work gets completed, which is designed to increase the safety and traffic flow through the reserve, while also increasing formalised parking and landscape enhancements.
Council has advised that there will be some impacts for residents and user groups.
There will be no vehicular access to the reserve via Clarke Street, with access remaining via Kellys Lane. The pedestrian access to tennis courts via Clarke Street will still be in operation.
Residents along Clarke Street will expect more heavy truck and construction vehicle movements, as well as within the reserve itself. Through that, there will be temporary changes to parking arrangements near the sporting facilities.
At different stages of construction, there will be reduced access to areas of the reserve.
During standard working hours, residents will expect construction noise, dust and minor vibrations, while there will also be temporary pedestrian detours.
The $950,000 project is scheduled to be completed in the coming months.
