FAMILIES with young children are invited to step inside their local kindergartens later this month, with a municipality-wide Kindergarten Open Day to be held on Thursday, February 26, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The annual Open Day provides an opportunity for parents and carers to meet kindergarten teachers, tour facilities and learn more about the quality early learning programs available across the municipality. It is designed to help families make informed choices as they prepare for their child’s kindergarten years.

Kindergartens welcome inquiries throughout the year, and families who are unable to attend the Open Day are encouraged to contact their preferred kindergarten directly to arrange a visit at another time. This option also applies to childcare centres that offer kindergarten programs.

In Whittlesea township, the following kindergartens will be opening their doors in the evening: Laurel Street Preschool, 57 Laurel Street and the Whittlesea Preschool, 92 Church Street.

Families seeking information about other participating locations are encouraged to visit the City of Whittlesea website, where a full list of kindergartens and further details about the Open Day are available.

The Open Day is a valuable chance for families to ask questions, explore learning environments and gain confidence in choosing the right kindergarten for their child.
