Get arty with the Kilmore Art Society (KAS)
Artist and mentor, Jeannette Jain encourages primary school and secondary students to join their weekly gathering at the KAS studio in Kilmore.
There are two sessions to attend, and the cost is free. There is no need to register, just bring your imagination and some snacks along on Wednesday, July 9 and 16, to 15 Anvil Avenue, Kilmore from 10am.
“If you can hold a pencil, you can draw,” Ms Jain said.
“First efforts can be surprisingly good, and we find our mental health improves when we have company. Rug up though, we have heaters but it’s such a large space to keep warm.
“Students over ten are welcome to attend and we request that they be accompanied by a parent please.
“Members of the community are also welcome.”
Wellington Square, get it!
Since 2011, Minecraft became an overnight sensation for all ages to spend their leisure time building, rationing resources, and surviving in a virtual world.
Yes, it is nearly 15 years since the game took over our screens, and even educators became aware of the potential for it to teach students just about how immeasurable some of planet earth’s resources really are.
These school holidays, all ages can get a closer look at Minecraft characters at Wellington Square Shopping Centre.
Keep it a surprise for your tag-alongs or help them anticipate the day by dressing them up as Alex, Herobrine, Steve or a Creeper.
Wellington Square Shopping centre is the only off street, fully enclosed shopping outlet in Wallan making it perfect stop to shop on Friday, July 11 between 11am and 1pm.
