Projects in Romsey and Lancefield will get boosted following Macedon Ranges Shire Council passing the 2025-26 Budget on Wednesday night.
The budget has a revenue of $124.5 million, which will contribute towards $28.4 million of capital expenditure to upgrade multiple assets.
The Budget for 2025-26 will see vast recreation projects undertaken in Romsey.
This includes a new surface and design work on the Romsey netball courts, while the second oval at Romsey Park will have a design for light towers and over surfacing. The second oval will have a reserve allocation of $70,000 for 2025-26.
The Romsey Skate Park project will be carried forward with a budget of $569,000, with $550,000 of that funded from external sources.
Roadworks which are mentioned in the Budget includes roadworks on Roger Street from Barry Street to Stawell Street, which is mentioned in the footpath program.
In Lancefield, the Old Lancefield Road is also a project that will be worked on in the Budget.
The Lancefield Courthouse will have works provided for a ramp and an air conditioning upgrade, which is a new project and under the building renewal program.
Residents will also be facilitated two free green waste vouchers and two free green waste disposal weeks at the resource recovery facilities around the shire.
