Seymour mare Inez clocked up the second win of her career for trainers Lee and Shannon Hope and stable client Alpara Lodge at the recent Kyneton meeting. Jockey Cory Parish steered Inez across the field – Inez started from the outside gate at barrier 12, to gain an early lead before being put to sleep in the trail to eventually win the 1856 metre event by 0.75 lengths.
Originally a $700,000 purchase at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, Inez is by champion sire Fastnet Rock and out of the High Chapparal mare Bring Me Roses who won the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes.
