This Saturday night, Thomastown will be lit up with lights and art installations as Walking Thomastown returns to celebrate one of the state’s oldest suburbs.

Beginning at 6pm, the event will see live performances, neon face painting, and community stalls set up at the Main Street Reserve Playground. A Welcome to Country will kick off the event, before the first of many acts, a Community Dance Project, begins at 6.20pm.

The free event will continue along Edgars Creek, winding through the historic pioneer precinct at Westgarthtown to Ziebell’s farmhouse.

Installations and entertainment will be set up along the track, giving attendees a range of interactive and immersive activities to partake in.

For those eager for a bite, the Thomas Street Community Pavilion and Lalor Scout Park will be the place to go as they play host to a wealth of food vans alongside art installations, activities, and entertainment.

The event will finish at 9pm.
