Last Saturday, the Mitchell Rangers Soccer Club (MRSC) hosted competitive men’s and women’s soccer games.
In the senior’s game, Zac Kennedy scored two goals and Luke Somerville one. The team had outstanding performances, and the Rangers’ won 3-1 against Tullamarine.
The Senior Women’s team played The Meadow Park Eagles. Sarah Robson kicked one goal for the home side, but the visitors won the game 1-2.
The Reserves had a thrilling second half. Will Chilvers and Will Mulvey scored a goal each, and the team made a comeback to beat Tullamarine 2-1.
The Thirds played The Moonee Valley Knights and won 5-3. They are lighting this league up, so let’s hope they keep these wins coming. Anthony Robinson kicked three of the five goals.
The Juniors had a bye for the King’s Birthday weekend, but were still involved by walking the senior players onto the field.
The coaches reflected on how proud they were of their teams, and how all the hard work in training was reflected on game day.
