KILMORE Toyota is partnering with FamilyCare this festive season to become a local collection point for its annual Gift Trees Christmas Appeal.
The initiative is designed to help children and families across the Lower Hume Region who may be experiencing hardship over the festive season.
A Gift Tree will be located at Kilmore Toyota, with community members invited to select a gift tag from the tree. Each tag represents the age and gender of a child supported by FamilyCare.
Participants can then purchase a suitable gift and return the unwrapped present to Kilmore Toyota, where FamilyCare and its volunteers will collect, sort and distribute the gifts to families in need.
Kilmore Toyota is encouraging local residents, workplaces and community groups to get involved by simply adding an extra gift to their Christmas shopping.
“We want to provide a convenient, central location where our local community can get involved and help bring the joy of Christmas to families in need this festive season,” Kilmore Toyota Dealer Principal, Adam Dove said.
“Christmas can be a challenging time for families who are already doing it tough. We are proud to be partnering with FamilyCare this year and hope our contribution makes a real difference.”
FamilyCare’s Gift Trees program brings community-minded businesses across the Lower Hume Region together to create accessible collection points for people wanting to give back during the Christmas period.
“I am very pleased to be partnering with such a community minded business such as Dove Automotive this year to increase FamilyCare’s Gifting Tree presence in our Lower Hume region.” Said FamilyCare CEO, Andi West.
The Gift Tree will be located at Kilmore Toyota from Monday, November 2 and will be accepting donations up until December 18, just in time for Christmas.
So, if you’re doing your Christmas shopping this year, consider picking up an extra present for a local child in need.
A small gift can make a big difference.
