IT was another successful weekend for the Wallan Kilmore Homing Club, with two good results despite tough conditions greeting flyers on Saturday.
The first race on Saturday was held at Coombah, with five club members sending birds and a total of 28 flyers and 296 birds braving the conditions.
A.Cocks and family was best placed, finishing 11th, while Charlie Grech was 14th. Cavanagh and Anderson finished 15th to claim third in the club honours.
The second race was held in Yolla, in Tasmania, with five members sending birds. There were 36 flyers and 340 birds in better conditions.
Les Morris finished 10th overall, while Michael Scandolera 18th and Alby Putker 25th.
In the club race, the race from Wycheproof was shortened to Inglewood, with 11 members entering and 264 birds flying.
Morris took the win, completing a successful weekend, while Cocks and family finished second and Jamie Loft in third.
