FUTURE plans of the Kilmore Golf Club are starting to take shape, with a full revitalisation of the irrigation system to be the next major priority.

Members of the Golf Club met with the Review to discuss its push towards course improvement for not only golfers, but also social players, walkers and people who might use the course for physical activity.

The club has determined a long-term plan as the best solution, to try and appeal to the community to help them raise $100,000 over the coming years.

The donations are set up on the Australian Sports Foundation making it easier for businesses to also donate, if interested, which is tax deductable.

The upgrades are set to happen across four stages, and with an audit already completed, they are looking to move to stage two, where they would be replacing approximately 280 sprinklers across the fairways.

Kilmore is a volunteer-based club, with a tired irrigation system that has lasted over 40 years of work, but with time comes aging, and the system is deteriorating.

Not only are they reaching out to the public for donations, they would love to offer opportunities for sponsors to get involved with the project through potential deals for days of work, or anything that can be donated.

It’s an important and historic area for Kilmore, and they want to keep up with the modern times of irrigation, so if you’re interested in donating, search up the Kilmore Golf Club on the Australian Sports Foundation.

The club is excited for upcoming events, including a par three day, ladies bowl and important Saturday comps that they would love to see full of players.
