MACEDON education has been gifted with commitment last week as the Liberal-Nationals coalition will invest up to $500,000 to improve the safety and security of government schools.
This commitment is aiming to give parents greater peace of mind and ensure child safety across four government schools in the area.
The commitment includes: The construction of a safe drop-off area at Hesket Primary School, necessary wall and door upgrades at Newham Primary School, painting of the toilet block at Bolinda Primary School and the installation of child-safe fencing around Lancefield Primary School.
Liberal Candidate for Macedon, Kate Kendall said their government will get the priorities right.
“With all three of my children attending government schools, we have experienced Labor’s ongoing neglect of small schools in Macedon firsthand,” she said.
“A Jess Wilson-led Liberal and Nationals Government will get the priorities right by investing in our local schools and deliver the improvements families need, which are offset by our teams more than $24.5 billion of disciplined and responsible savings.
“Every parent should be able to drop their child off to school with the assurance that they are learning in a safe and secure environment.”
