SPORTING clubs in Laurimar could benefit from a re-elected State Government, with $6 million promised to upgrade the pavilion at Laurimar Reserve.
The upgrade would deliver upgraded change rooms, which would benefit both the Laurimar Football Netball Club and Laurimar Cricket Club that uses the facility.
Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence said it was crucial to help the town’s key sporting clubs.
“Local sporting clubs bring people together – and Labor is backing them,” she said.
“This project will give players, volunteers and families a place they can be proud of.”
State Member for Yan Yean Lauren Kathage said it was a ‘hub’ which needed an upgrade.
“This hub for Doreen needs to better suit the needs of local sporting clubs. We’ll make it happen,” she said.
