A WALLAN man has been arrested after allegedly evading police in a high-speed chase through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 29-year-old man was driving a suspected stolen vehicle when a police helicopter spotted the car just before 3am.
Officers attempted to intercept the man in both Heidelberg Heights and Heidelberg but were unable to stop the vehicle.

They were then led through nearly half a dozen neighbouring suburbs before eventually bring the chase to an end in Watsonia using stop sticks.
The man is expected to be interviewed at a later date.
