IT was a year to remember for South Morang’s Hailey Cordova, who dominated the Northern Football Netball League’s night of nights at the Frank Rosbrook Medal with a clean sweep of the division two awards.

Cordova was also the winner of the coaches MVP award for the same division, polling 60 votes from the coaches to win by three from Fitzroy Stars’ Medika Bonney.

In the netball competition best and fairest, Abbie Barnes and Chloe Gray took away joint third for Whittlesea in section one, each polling 13 votes, while Amy Goodwin and Shanae Watson both finished on the podium in section three, with the Eagles’ duo polling 18 and 17 votes respectively.

Laurimar’s Tully Carr took the section 11 best and fairest in a landslide, polling 27 votes, while Tori Williams finished third in section 12 for the Power, finishing on 11 votes.

Patrick Fitzgerald claimed his leading goalkicker trophy after kicking 79 goals for the season, while South Morang’s Ben Peterson scored the division one reserves title with 58 goals. There was a tie in division two, with Whittlesea’s Caden Allen and Laurimar’s Hayden Trim kicking 43 goals apiece.

The star shooters competition saw Matilda McDougall take the section eight title with 203 goals, while South Morang’s Dempsey West shared the section 14 title with Fitzroy Stars’ Paige Nelson on 224 goals.

Each club was well represented on the leaderboards throughout the best and fairest counts.

Stephanie Crook polled seven votes to lead the way for Laurimar, while Tahlia Brander was sixth in the count for Whittlesea, polling 12 votes in a season which saw North Heidelberg’s Remi Moore win the count.
