It’s going to be such a fantastic celebration bringing the community together, I can’t wait to share my music with audiences at such a vibrant event and to rock the stage, Mitch said.

Also bringing the vibes is Squid Nebula, a band led by Noongar musician Bumpy. Their smooth mix of soul and funk has taken them to major festivals, and they were named in the Bigsound 150 list in 2020.

There’s plenty more local talent hitting the stage, including:

Benny Greggs: Bringing nothing but good vibes, Benny will emcee the event and introduce an incredible lineup of young musicians.

Renee Naccari: A Melbourne singer and producer who blends Pop, R&B, and Indie for a unique sound.

Brent Watkins: A Gunnai Kurnnai artist with Noongar Yamatji roots, blends traditional dance and hip-hop to share cultural stories.

Jag: A bold and creative artist mixing music with poetry and theatre for a one-of-a-kind show.

Zak Gully: A rising Indie Folk-Pop singer-songwriter whose song Travelling Lady is making waves.

Ramona Sky: A band bringing ‘70s rock vibes with a modern twist. They’ve been nominated for big awards and know how to put on a show.

Mernda Afro Dance: A dance group bringing African culture to life with high-energy moves and awesome beats.

Alkalide: A high-energy band formed by students from William Ruthven Secondary College, playing all sorts of styles.

But it’s not just about the music.

The City of Whittlesea Community Festival is a free, family-friendly event, loaded with live entertainment, cultural performances, and interactive activities for all ages.
