THE highly anticipated Macedon Ranges Music Festival (MRMF) 2025 is returning on Saturday, March 29, with an incredible line up of live music at the iconic Hanging Rock.

As one of Victoria’s premier community-driven events, MRMF promises an unforgettable day of outstanding performances, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere—all while raising funds for the Cambodian Kids Foundation.

This year’s festival will be headlined by Emma Donovan, one of Australia’s most powerful and soulful voices, known for her deep connection to Indigenous culture and storytelling through music.

Steph Strings, the dynamic fingerstyle guitarist and singer-songwriter, will captivate audiences with her internationally acclaimed show that has sold out venues around the world, while the ever-energetic Hot Potato Band will transform Hanging Rock into a New Orleans-style street party with their infectious, brass-driven grooves.

Joining them will be the soulful, blues-infused nine-piece band Fools, troubadour singer-songwriter Joshua Batten, and Son Quba, bringing the irresistible rhythms of traditional Cuban dance music to the festival’s dance floor.

And don’t forget your cowboy hat—prepare for an interactive line dancing session with Country Struts Boot Scooting!

In addition to the incredible music line up, festival goers can enjoy a diverse range of delicious food stalls, local craft beverages, and family-friendly activities. MRMF continues its mission of doing it all for a great cause, with 100 per cent of festival profits supporting the Cambodian Kids Foundation.

Festival Director Jimmy O’Hare expressed his excitement for the upcoming event.

“The Macedon Ranges Music Festival is all about incredible music, a strong community spirit, and making a real difference,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to bring such a diverse and talented lineup to the stage, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Hanging Rock for MRMF 2025.”

MRMF 2025 is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and the Community Support Fund, delivered by Music Victoria.

The Macedon Ranges Music Festival is a 100 per cent volunteer-run, not-for-profit event that donates all proceeds to the Cambodian Kids Foundation. Since its inception, MRMF has become a beloved annual celebration of live music, bringing together top-tier artists and a passionate audience in support of a great cause.

Tickets are available now from $40 via www.macedonrangesmusicfestival.org. Kids under five are free.

With limited capacity and a history of selling out, festival goers are encouraged to grab their tickets early to avoid missing out on this unforgettable day of music and community spirit.
